Pipi Chowder - Recipe

  • 1 pint pipi's
  • 3 potatoes
  • 3 oz Bacon Chopped fine
  • 1 onion chopped fine
  • 2 tomatoes
  • seasoning


Fry the bacon and onion light brown. Add chopped potatoes and sliced tomatoes. Just - cover with cold water. Season well and simmer for 25 minutes. Add pipi's - and cook for 15 minutes - longer if necessary - thicken if required.

Yeh - they come from all over the globe - like Kiwi's do. Yes also - expect some imperial measurements as I've transcribed them from a hand written book.
